In 2007, Darla became a postpartum doula trainer and began holding Postpartum Doula Trainings in California.

“As Americans, we are under the impression that moms are “Superwomen” and can return to life as it was before baby. We must remember to celebrate this new mother and emulate the other cultures that honor new mothers by caring for them, supporting them, and placing value on the magnificent transformation she is going through. This is the greatest gift we can give to new mothers and newborns” -Darla Burns

My name is Paula Inés Laria. I’m a Nutritionist from Argentina and an International Board-Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC) in the United States, fluent in both English and Spanish. For over 17 years, I have supported families in the prenatal and postpartum journey, offering classes, consultations, and hands-on lactation care. My experience includes working in the WIC Nutrition Program, major hospitals, Telehealth, and private practice with in-home visits.

At Breast Time of Life, our mission is to help parents feel confident, informed, and supported in providing their baby with the healthiest start possible. We combine science-based knowledge with compassionate care, respecting each family’s culture, values, and unique experiences.

We believe that information is power, and when families are well-informed, they can make decisions with confidence and actively participate in their baby’s care. Our goal is simple: to create a nurturing space where parents feel guided and empowered, and babies receive the best foundation for a brighter future.
