Debra Osterkamp CLD, CPD, SBD
ADMINISTRATIVE DIRECTOR & CFO
HI! My name is Debra, I’m of European descent, my great grandparents immigrated to the US from Ireland. My passion in birth started when I was almost 40 and had a home birth with my son in 2009. I had the support of 2 doulas at my labor and delivery and I will NEVER forget that feeling. The feeling of support, comfort and trust. Because of the way I felt during my labor and delivery, I wanted to learn more and decided to embark on the journey of becoming a labor doula and soon thereafter a postpartum doula. Supporting women and families is an incredible honor.
My goals for my path are to continue working as Office Manager at Pure Births and continue to learn and grow with the business!
My family at home consist of my husband of 13 years, Dave, my 11 year old son, our kitty Cricket and our golden retriever Ty. What I love most about working at Pure Births is the tribe of women I work with! I really do love seeing the pregnant mamas and the newborns too!
In my free time you will find me organizing something at my house or watching a show on Netflix.
My favorite past time is spending time with my family and friends. My favorite birth/mothering quote is:
"If a woman doesn’t look like a goddess during labor, then someone isn’t treating her right."
What the world needs more of is PEACE and tacos! I wish every women knew they had choices in their pregnancy, labor and delivery. They can say no and no is a very powerful word.

Cali Judson
PATIENT INTAKE COORDINATOR
Hi! My name is Cali, I am a Californian through and through - born and raised right here in Santa Clarita. My passion for birth started a decade ago, just after I experienced the amazing unmedicated birth of my son, Silas. It was nothing short of life changing and core shaking, so much so that I decided to pursue birth work full time as a Labor Doula, Postpartum Doula and Childbirth Educator. While the life of a birth worker can be demanding and challenging, the reward is always seeing new parents realize their power and watch them come into their own as they welcome their baby.
How someone births matters, how someone is birthed matters. Birth has the potential to change the trajectory of the lives that experience and witness it, that is why working at Pure Births is an honor and a privilege. There is always someone to learn from, there is always an opportunity to humble myself and there is always chance to serve others.
My husband and I have built a lovely life here in Santa Clarita with our son, Silas and kitty, Leo. When I am not in the Pure Births office with Debra or at a birth assisting the midwives - you can find me at home with a puzzle, or a crochet project while watching a Hallmark Mystery movie. When I venture out of Santa Clarita, you will likely find me at Ventura Beach or at Grandma’s house in Northern California.
One of my favorite birthy quotes is by Mother Teresa, “The greatest science in the world; in heaven and on earth; is love.”
I believe the world needs more vulnerability and empathic listening. Never underestimate the importance and impact of listening when someone is ready to tell you their story.
